 Southern Railway Apprentice Age Limit

The Apprentice candidates should have completed minimum 15 years of age and should not have completed 22 years for Freshers and 24 years for Ex-ITI & MLT posts. The Upper Age Relaxation - 03 years for OBC, 05 years for SC / ST and 10 years for PwBD.

 Southern Railway Apprentice Salary

The Southern Railway Apprentice 2024 Monthly Salary as Stipend will be paid as per the directions of Railway Board’s.

Trades

Academic & Technical Qualifications

Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Mechanic-Motor Vehicle

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) with Science and Mathematics under 10 +2 System of  education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

Welder (Gas & Electric), Carpenter, Plumber, Mechanic-Machine Tool Maintenance, Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanic-Diesel, Electronics Mechanic, Painter (General)

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

Wireman

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed m course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in the Trades of Wiremen and Electrician.

Computer Operator and 5 Programming Assistant (COPA)

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

Information & communication Technology system maintenance ((ICTSM)

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in the Trades of: (1) Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, (2)
Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance, (3) Broad Based Basic Training in Information Technology Sector under Centre of Excellence Scheme and Advanced module of Centre of Excellence Scheme in Repair and Maintenance of Hardware of Computer and Peripherals.

Draughtsman (Civil)

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

Advanced Welder

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI 8s should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in the Trades of: (1) Broad Based Basic Training in Production and Manufacturing Sector under Centre of Excellence Scheme and Advanced module of Centre of Excellence Scheme in Advance Welding, (2) Welder.

Instrument Mechanic

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

SSA (Stenographer &  Secretarial Assistant)

Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of  education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate  issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in the Trades of: (1) Stenography (English), (2) Secretarial Practice.

 Southern Railway Apprentice Selection Process

Merit List

Taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (1oth ) and ITI.

Medical Examination

The Medical Certificate should be signed by Gazetted Government Doctor.

For First Step to Apply Online, The candidates are advised to get themselves registered and obtain Registration Number from Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Guindy / Chennai (Web site: https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/).

Eligible Interested candidates should register the Southern Railway Apprentice 2024 through RRC Chennai Online Application Portal (sronline.iroams.com) from Opening date. The Registration will be made through following Steps:-

Visit sronline.iroams.com → Register → Select Unit (Applying As, Selection Division, Selection Trade) → Proceed to Next Page.

Step 1: Read Declaration
Step 2: Fill Application Form
Step 3: Review & Confirm details
step 4: Enter "One-Time Password (OTP)" to submit application form (Note: one-time password is a 6-digit code sent to your registered mobile.)
Step 5: Make payment through credit card/debit card/net banking
Step 6: Print Acknowledgement.

The last date for submission of applications is 12/08/2024, by 5:00 PM.
